How do we verify places?

Dive behind the scenes of the app: from a user's suggestion to the final validation by our team.

The reliability of Haliago relies on a closely monitored collaborative model. Every day, dozens of users add new establishments or report closures. But no critical information (such as adding or removing a 'No Alcohol' or 'AVS Certified' tag) is published without verification.

When an address is added, our system cross-references the data (Google, the establishment's social networks, cross-checking with other users). If a photo of a certificate is provided, it is manually inspected to ensure the date and address match the restaurant.

Thanks to this double verification (community + moderation), we avoid the 'fake news' that is very common in the halal restaurant industry. Have a doubt about an establishment? Use the 'Report an error' button directly from its profile on the app.
